Synagogue Youth Chapter of the Year for the se- cond year in a row at the 38th annual regional convention. It was the first time ever that a chapter has won this award in two consecutive years. In addition, SZUSY won seven other awards including two awards for membership expansion, one for "Best ongoing social action pro- gramming;' "Best ongoing fund-raising," "Best ongoing religious education program- ming" for their weekly Shabbat services, "Best social" for their region-wide dance, and "Best chapter retreat" for their Field of Dreams retreat. The awards were accepted by SZUSY president Jonathan Bruss. The Shaarey Zedek delegation includes Jill Bruss, Amy Wagner, Ilana Glazier, Sarah Hazan, Sarah Meyers, Greg Meyers, Traci Provizer, Jessica Tam, Debbi Hortick, Lori Gartenberg and Jeff Covensky.
