on a Shoestring" will be held
7:30-9 p.m. April 17 at the
Westacres Library. Laura
O'Neill will lead a seminar on
natural home remedies to
promote harmonious growth
in your garden through the
use of organic materials.
Ms. O'Neill's garden was
featured in the Detroit
News/Free Press in an article
on creating her garden with
a small budget on a modest
lot. She will check out the soil
and water conditions in West
Bloomfield and Commerce.

Southfield Sets
Dance Classes

The Southfield Cultural
Arts Division of the Parks
and Recreation Department
will hold a ballroom dance
course during May. Classes
will be Fridays from 8-9:30
p.m. at the lower level of the
Parks and Recreation
Building.
This course, concentrating
on the waltz, will be under
the direction of Art Leonard.
