It provides physical, occupational, recrea- tional and speech therapy, as well as social work to assist. physically challenged in- dividuals return to an indepen- dent lifestyle. There are also specialty programs for those with strokes, spinal cord and head injuries. Volunteers are needed to act as receptionists and clinical therapists, to work in the gift shop, visit patients, perform clerical and fund-raising duties, to work in the library and nursing units and to assist with building maintenance. Minimum age: 14 years of age. Estimated time commitment: 50 hours over a period of time.
