She leaves her son, Hanley

IRENE YOUNG, 85, of West
Bloomfield, died March 31.
She leaves her sons and
daughters-in-law, Sidney and
Rosalie of West Bloomfield,
Leonard and Joan of Phoenix,
Ariz., Dr. Lawrence and Judie
of Birmingham; 10 grand-
children.
Jacob Bergstein,
Businessman
Jacob Bergstein, 68, of New
York, died March 17.
Born in Thomashov, Poland,
he emigrated to America in
1950.
He was president of the sur-
vivors of Krasnebrod Society
(of the Lublin area), con-
ducted services for Rosh
Hashanah and Yom Kippur
at Bais Chabad of Farm-
ington Hills, and was a
member of Young Israel of
Windsor Park in Queens, N.Y.
He leaves his wife, Dora;
daughters, Sarah Dachs, Toby
Wolf, both of New York; son,
Rabbi Chaim Bergstein of
Farmington Hills; mother,
Rose Bergstein; brother, Leo
Rosenson of Brooklyn; 14
grandchildren. Interment
New York.
Sidney Ferst,
Of B'nai Moshe
Sidney Ferst, 80, of Oak
Park, died March 28.
He was a member of B'nai
Moshe, B'nai B'rith and head
of the Tallis and Tefilin Club
of Congregation B'nai Moshe.
He leaves his wife, Miriam;
daughter and son-in-law, Lin-
da and Joel Garfield of West
Bloomfield; four grand-
children.
Harry L. Silverman,
Local Accountant
Harry L. Silverman, 69, of
Birmingham, died March 28.
Mr. Silverman was a cer-
tified public accountant with
the firm of Grant and Silver-
man. He was a member of
Temple Israel, former mem-
ber of the board of directors of
the Hebrew Benevolent Socie-
ty, former co-chairman of the
Professional Division of the
Allied Jewish Campaign, and
a member of the Silverman
Post — Jewish War Veterans.
He is survived by his wife,
Annette; daughters, Deborah
Lee and Cathy; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Isadore and
Evelyn, Raymond and Nancy,
all of Southfield.
