The program also will offer educational booths and vendor displays, as well as the opportunity to take part in the popular "Ask the Nurse" question and answer session. Materna Tea is open to all individuals and families in- terested in childbirth and women's healthcare services. Guests will be shown a video tape of the labor and delivery unit, in order to provide privacy for current Sinai patients. The nurse-guided tours will encompass Sinai's two Family-Centered Care units, where new mothers are taught baby and self care, the Women's Health Care Unit which provides care to women throughout their life span and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Following the tours, guests will walk among the booths and displays offered by ven- dors and Sinai healthcare pro- fessionals to obtain informa- tion on childcare, nutrition, prenatal care and labor and delivery and more. Fox, Licensed Realtor RENTING OUT YOUR HOME QUESTION: What are the tax consequences involved in renting out my home? ANSWER: Your home be- comes a business if you rent it out. The costs of running the property are subtracted from the rent to determine the net income from the operation - just as would be done in any other business. Among the expenses that can be charged off are in- terest on the mortgage, mainten- ance and repairs, agent's fees, utilities if you pay them, in- surance premiums, annual depreciation and improvements. Tax-wise, renting out your home is a whole new ball game, especially when it comes time to sell. I suggest you put your return in the hands of a good ac- countant.
