Officially formed in 1969 at the Julliard School of Music, the Tokyo String Quartet is made up of Peter Oundjian, violinist; Kikuei Ikeda, violinist; Kazuhide Isomura, violinist; and Sadao Harada, cellist. For their Detroit per- formance the quartet will per- form Mozart's Quartet No. 20 in D Major; Takemitsu's Away Alone and Beethoven's Quartet in B Flat Major with Grosse Fugue. Art Expo, Sale_ At Maple-Drake The second annual interna- tional Art Expo and Sale will be held April 7-17 at the Maple-Drake Jewish Com- munity Center. The artists are Itzik Ben Shalom, Leon Bronstein, Miriam Libhaber, Dora Lif- shitz, Sara Mekler, Aviho Mizrachi, Yosef Sassoon, Michael Shacham. Jerry So- ble, Gila Stein, Sara Szold. They represent Israel, Mexico and the United States. This show will feature sculptures, paintings and woods. An opening-day reception will be held with the artists 1-3 p.m. April 7.
