"It's a tough language to
learn," he admitted, "but
playing in Montreal gives you

dorsements and the fans ap-
preciate it if you try to speak

"They also are introducing
a summer college program
through the NHL Players
Ass'n., and I plan to take ad-
vantage of that, too. A
business major would be most

Matt Friedman, Pisgah
B'nai B'rith bowling league,
topped a field of 26 bowlers.
Friedman shot a 205 game in
the final match to win over
Jerry Gilbert, of the Ben
Lusky Traveling League.
The top 16 scorers in the
qualifying round of the 26 en-
tries, advanced to the match
play round. In the semi-final
matches, Matt defeated his
father Mort Friedman, 221 to
205, and Jerry Gilbert bested
Shel Rakotz, also of Pisgah.
Quarter-finalists were: Andy
Rubin, Barry Schlussel,
Keith Kingston and Bill
Oram.
Keith Kingston shot 268,
the high game of the tourna-
ment. Other high games
were: Matt Friedman-224;
Mort Friedman-244; Bill
Oram-243; Barry Fishman-
235; and Andy Rubin-235.
