Volunteers are also needed to assist in recreation programs in arts and crafts, dance, music, and assist in neighborhood development classes. Skills needed: Creative arts and organizational skills. Among services and special programs offered are Friendly Visitors: wheelchair lift vehicles transporting nurs- ing home residents community outings, Bedside Shopping Cart services, Camping Pro- gram, country outings, block parties, and a clothing shop. Volunteers are needed to visit one-on-one with nursing home residents to provide en- couragement and comfort, write letters, or read. Also needed are people to stock in- ventory for the Shopping Cart progrram, and to provide com- panionship for other programs. Volunteers are also needed to work as office assistants and to drive a bus. Skills needed: Bus drivers must have previous bus driv- ing experience.
