nual Walk for Israel 11:30
a.m. May 5, leaving from the
Jewish Community Campus
in West Bloomfield.
A member of the Communi-
ty Services Division of the
Jewish Welfare Federation,
Mr. Orley is affiliated with
Israel Bonds, Detroit Men's
ORT, Congregation Shaarey
Zedek, Jewish Home for Ag-
ed and Yeshiva Gedolah.
Mrs. Rosenthal is involved
with the Federation Women's
Division and its speakers
bureau, Allied Jewish Cam-
paign and various commit-
tees; Sinai Hospital and
Guild, Jewish Family Ser-
vice, National Council of
Jewish Women, Congregation
Shaarey Zedek Sisterhood
and Hadassah.
Co-chairmen are Kathleen
Wilson-Fink, Ken Korotkin
and Jeffrey Spoon. Ms.

Fresh Air Society and Temple

Celebrating Israel's 43rd
anniversary, the walk will
begin with registration at
10:45 a.m. Following the walk
there will be Israeli food,
children's activities, a family
concert, Israeli films and a
trade and travel show.
Bus transportation will be
available at a small charge
from the Jimmy Prentis Mor-
ris Jewish Center in Oak
Park and from the United

The Moies Chetim Organi-
zation of Detroit will
distribute Passover matzah,
kosher wine and Passover
food certificates from Farmer
Jack to needy Jewish families
in the Detroit area. The non-
profit group expects to serve
over 500 families and 100
Jewish nursing home pa-
tients. A large percentage of
those served are Russian
Jewish emigrees.
The organization was
founded in 1922 by Louis
Smith, a food wholesaler in
the Eastern Market. All
workers are volunteers. The
food to be distributed is pur-
chased with donations from
more than 750 persons. All
recipients are referred by
Jewish Family Service.
