Pauline Faxon Pauline Faxon, 92, who guided the political career of her son, Sen. Jack Faxon, died March 16. Mrs. Faxon, of Farmington Hills, was a member of the Pioneer Women, Labor Zionist Branch 4 and the Radomer Aid Society. Born in a village in what now is the Soviet Union, Mrs. Faxon moved to Lansing in 1921 to join her father, an Orthodox rabbi. Briefly, she lived in Chicago, where she worked as a seamstress. She moved back to Detroit in 1934, where her husband founded Midwest Bedding Co. She is survived by her son, Jack, of Farmington Hills; daughter, Dr. Lorraine Meisner of Madison, Wis.; three grandchildren. Helen Gross Helen Gross, 92, of West Bloomfield, died March 17. A life member of Hadassah, she resided at the Fleischman Residence for the past six years. Mrs. Gross and her husband, Bert Duschinsky, who died in 1937, owned and operated the original Hungarian Village Restau- rant in Delray in the early 1930s. In 1949, she married Henry Gross of Flint, and they operated the Gross Pointe Inn many years prior to their retirement. Mrs. Gross leaves her sons and daughters-in-law, George and Cecila Duchin, Edward and Freddye Duchin; daughter and son-in-law, Bet- ty and Sidney Berg of South- field; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
