The youth departments of
Adat Shalom Synagogue and
Congregation Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses will co-sponsor
visits to college students from
their respective congrega-
tions in school at the Univer-
sity of Michigan, Michigan
State University and Eastern
Michigan University.
The first event is set for
March 10, when the congre-
gations' rabbis, youth com-
mission members and parents
will bring a kosher dinner to
U-M and EMU students.
They will meet at the U-M
Hillel at 5 p.m.
A visit to MSU students has
been set for 5 p.m. April 25 at
the Hillel building in East
Lansing.

Will Meet
Shalom Detroit, the
welcoming committee of the
Jewish Welfare Federation
Women's Division, is holding
a gathering for newcomers to
Detroit, 8 p.m. Mar. 23 at the
home of Lauren Liss.
New area residents will
meet each other and the
Shalom Detroit Committee,
which will make a presenta-
tion about the community.
The gathering, which in-
cludes a light dinner and ac-
tivities for children, is being
organized by Lisa Brody,
chairman of Shalom Detroit,
and Roz Blanck.
