The Shabbat experience will
begin with Kabbalat Shabbat
services at 6 p.m. followed by
a Beth Shalom family JEFF
Shabbat dinner.
Mr. Siegel will continue to
teach and inspire the practice
of deeds of loving kindness
(mitzvot) during Shabbat
morning services Mar. 9
followed by a Shabbat lun-
cheon. The winner of Beth
Shalom Religious School
students' "Design a Tzedakah

Rabbi Sherwin Wine, of the
Birmingham Temple, will
host Shabbat story hour, a
special time for parents and
young children ages 3-6, to
celebrate a cultural and
Humanistic Shabbat to-
gether. The emphasis will
focus on ethical values
through stories and songs. In
addition, the group will share
a Shabbat challah.
The Story Hour is schedul-
ed 11 a.m. to noon Mar. 9,
May 11, and June 1 at the
temple. The program is open
to the community. There is no
charge.
