LOCAL NEWS I Israel Bonds Offers IRA With the Federal income tax deadline only two months away, the State of Israel Bond Organization is offering a special investment opportuni- ty for Individual Retirement Account holders. The Individual Variable Rate Issue Bond, (IVRI) with a minimum purchase price of $5,000 or more, is available to IRA accounts only in $2,000 or $2,500 units. The current rate of interest for the IVRI, ending March 31, is 7.50 per- cent. The interest rate is ad- justed twice a year. Taxpayers may make tax- deferred investments for their 1990 IRA funds up to April 15, 1991. Call the Israel Bond office, 352-6555 for broker information.
