is $58, this is the sort of ex-
perience the ordinary person
saves up to enjoy. It is worth
it! The entrees run the gamut
of fish to fowl to beef to veal.
Drinks are extra.
"Bone's Restaurant is a new
eatery that specializes in
beef. It is located on Piedmont
Road in the affluent
Buckhead region. The service
and the food are good; condi-
tions are crowded due to the
popularity of the restaurant
but it is worth the wait.
"Ray's on the River is on
Power's Ferry Road and, with
the right seating, the river is
easily visible as it runs next
to the restaurant. Sunday
brunch is a specialty at Ray's.
Get there early because it fills
up as churchgoers arrive after
the service. A tremendous
variety of food is available.
The triple chocolate cakes are
particularly impressive!
"Anthony's (not too far from
Bones on Piedmont) occupies
an 18th century southern
mansion and displays a great
deal of the elegance of the Old
South. An elegant and large
heated beef cart is wheeled
from table to table to allow
the diner to pick his/her cut
of meat. One gets the feeling
of what it meant to be a plan-
tation owner.
"The Underground is
reminiscent of the former Tal-
ly Hall in Farmington Hills
or the Quincy Market in
Boston. 'Underground' is old
Atlanta and features many
restaurants serving a wide
variety of tasty morsels. In
downtown Atlanta, it permits
the tourist to eat on a modest
budget (this is particularly
important after one has
become a pauper at
Nickolai's.)"

POEM WRITTEN by
13-year-old Jill Shulman, who
turned 14 on Feb. 2, took first
prize at Seminole Middle
School in Plantation, Florida
. . . Her parents, Dr. Joel and
the late Lisa Shulman,
formerly resided here . . .
Jill's poem, quite astute for
one so young, tells of today's
problems, war with Iraq, and
avoiding the fight in America
against cocaine and crack
that kills so many people.
