Community opinion leaders
will lead audience discussions
after performances of Bitter
Friends by Gordon Rayfield at
the Jewish Ensemble Theatre
in West Bloomfield.
The "talkbacks" will be
held every Thursday evening
during the run of the play,
through March 3. The play, a
drama based on the Jonathan
Pollard spy case, examines
the ethics and emotions in-
volved in Israeli-American
relations.
The discussion leaders will
be: Feb. 21: Phil Jacobs,
managing editor of The
Jewish News, Feb. 28: David
Gad-Harf, executive director
of the Jewish Community
Council of Detroit.
There is no additional
charge for the discussion.

'Man As Art'
Gallery Talk

The Print Gallery will host
a talk and hors d'oeuvres
reception for world traveler
and photographer Carole
Herdegen, 7 p.m. Feb. 22. She
will discuss her photographic
essay on "Man As Art" in
Papua, New Guinea.
The exhibit, which consists
of 25 photographs, will run
Feb. 22 - Mar. 30.
The photographs, which she
has titled "Man As Art," will
illustrate the intricate floral
headdress, facial painting and
body decoration of various
tribes as they gathered for
their annual Sing-Sing (a
ceremony of tribal music and
dance.)
