Set in Munich, Germany, during World War II, The White Rose dramatizes the true story of five students who were arrested for distributing anti-Nazi leaflets under the name of "The White Rose." The play ex- plores the conflict between the students and their inter- rogators, in a situation where oppression of thought is com- monplace and fear is the greatest enemy.
