Mrs. Levenson had one
client who bought the T-

will be very meaningful to a
Russian immigrant who is
very patriotic and realizes
how lucky we all are to be
living in this country," said
the client.

DESIGN TRENDS
Janice Steinhardt and
Gary Fried of the Madison
Design Group in the Mich-
igan Design Center recently
participated in a kitchen and
bath show featuring 150
designers, architects and
builders.
"The newest thing is that
the kitchens are open to the
rest of the house. They are
the living room of the '90s.
The newest material is the
acrylic polyester door, which
replaces the wood painted
door," says Mrs. Steinhardt.

AT THE
Not only does the Madison
Design Group feature state-
of-the-art kitchens, but the
working arrangement is a
'90s phenomenon. Janice
Steinhardt works with her
former husband Gary
Fried, the chief designer.
Her father, Max Wexler, is
employed part-time as head
engineer. Daughter Kane
Fried works after school,
while Fred Steinhardt,
Janice's husband, provides
legal counsel for the
group. ❑
Bel Canto Choral Society
will hold auditions for the
winter season beginning Feb.
4 when the group resumes
rehearsals following a winter
break. The three-part
women's choir, under the
direction of Gene Branstrom
and accompanied by Rochelle
Barr, will rehearse Monday
nights at Southfield-Lathrup
High School.
They will sing in a number
of programs throughout the
community and will have a
final year-end concert at Con-
gregation Beth Achim.
Women who read music and
enjoy singing may contact
Sue Tushman, 353-5486; or
Marci Tanzman, 542-5540, for
audition appointments.
