Berkley, and Goldsmith are
working with weights dur-
ing the off-season to build
size and strength and prac-
ticing with the team indoors
at Total Soccer in Farm-
ington. Both say they're
looking toward summer
soccer.
"It's a lot of hard work,"
acknowledges Kolodin. But
he's not complaining. ❑

Sport Wheelchairs
Purchased For Kids

ourteen members of
Detroit B'nai B'rith
recently raised funds
to purchase eight custom-
built sport wheelchairs for
handicapped children at the
Israel Sports Center for the
Disabled in Ramat Gan,
Israel.
The purchase was part of a
program of B'nai B'rith
District 6, which includes
Michigan, to provide 22 such
chairs. Each Mirage chair,
with spare parts, cost
$1,000, delivered.
The project is the brain-
child of District 6 member
Milton Lambert of Lin-
colnwood, Ill., international
chairman of B'nai B'rith.
The majority of the contribu-

tions came from the Chicago
area.
Lambert's daughter and
son-in-law, Penny and
Lawrence Deitch, reside in
Birmingham.

Detroit-area fundraisers,
whose contributions were
funneled through the
Metropolitan Detroit B'nai
B'rith Council, were Mr. and
