gin rummy. A book review 1

Does-It Fitness 9:15 a.m. to
10 a.m.; there is a fee for non-

review Cynthia Freeman's
novel, Always and Forever.
There is a charge for
non-members.
Lunch at the Pegasus
Restaurant in the Fisher
Building will be followed by
the Attic Theater's produc-
tion of Teibele and Her Demon
Feb. 6. This is a-play set at the
turn of the century in a
Jewish village in Poland.
Buses will leave the Maple-
Drake building at 10:30 a.m.
and will leave the JPM
Building at 11 a.m.
Sonny Lipenholtz and the
Folk Dance Class will meet 1
p.m. Feb. 12 in Room 150. En-
joy the music and exercise
whether you are a beginner
or a more experienced dancer.
There is a charge for this 8
week session; join on a drop-
in basis for a small fee.

Painting Class
For Seniors

A beginning painting class
will be held at the Maple-
Drake Jewish Community
Center 10 a.m.-noon Thurs-
days, Room 150.
Harriet Gelfond is the in-
structor. No previous ex-
perience is necessary. This
five week session begins Feb.
21.

Hearing Loss
Support Group

The Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center's Peer
Support Group for Adults
with Hearing Loss will meet
to discuss the topic "Introduc-
tion to Sign Language" 7 p.m.
Feb. 5 in room 239 at the
Maple-Drake building.

B'NAI B'RITH

B'nai B'rith Council
Plans Brunch

B'nai B'rith Michigan
Regional Council, the B'nai
B'rith Foundation and the
University of Michigan Hillel
will co-sponsor a "Meet and
Greet" brunch Feb. 17 at U-
M Hillel.
In lieu of a Council meeting,
Council delegates will be in-
vited to be guests for brunch,
leaving Southfield by bus at
10 a.m. Also, all $100 and
over donors to the B'nai
B'rith Appeal Campaign will
be invited as guests. There
will be no solicitation at this
event. Co-Chairmen for this
event are Nathan D. Rubens-
tein and Gerald M. Corlin.

Regional Council
Sportsmen's Night

B'nai B'rith Michigan
Regional Council will honor
Mitch Albom, sportswirter for
the Detroit Free Press, at its
Sportsmen's Night 7 p.m. Feb.
21, at Adat Shalom
Synagoguge.
The program will feature a
presentation to Mr. Albom
followed by Mr. Albom's
review of the sports scene in
Detroit.
