"It's my sell to thing to favorite honeymooners," she said. Caribbean cruises are the most popular among honeymooners, ac- cording to Ms. Shapiro, and each cruise line offers a wide array of exotic destinations in that region. Southern Caribbean cruises origi- nate in either Miami or San Juan, and sail to such places as St. Thomas, one of the top duty-free ports in the Caribbean; Barbados, a friendly British isle with its own Trafalgar Square; St. Maarten, half Dutch, half French, total paradise; Martinique, the "Isle of Flowers:" and Antigua, where you'll never grow tired of the beaches (there are 365!). Also visited on some of the south- ern Caribbean trips are private islands owned by the individual cruise lines. Royal Caribbean's Haitian paradise, Labadee, offers passengers beautiful beaches, water sports and a market- place filled with native handicrafts. Princess' private island, Mayreau, is the setting for the cruise line's exclusive beach parties. Cruises to the eastern and western Caribbean include stops at such pop- ular islands as Cozumel, Mexico's only Caribbean island; Grand Cay- man, where you can send postcards home from a town called Hell; Jamai- ca, where you can climb the cascades of Dunn's River Falls; and Nassau, filled with duty-free bargains. Admiral Cruises, which specializes in three- and four-night Bahama vacations, owns Coco Cay, a private island with six beaches for passengers on the Emerald Seas. Exotic Ports If the Caribbean is not your cup of tea, there are numerous cruises to other destinations. Continued on Page 59
