Beth Abraham Hillel Moses
Religious School's annual
Youth Shabbat will be held
Feb. 2 in the synagogue's
main sanctuary. Barry V
Levine, educational director,
has involved over one hun-
dred youngsters in this
service.
Featured in the Shabbat
service will be a children's
choir consisting of students
from the school's kindergar-
ten through Kitah Alef sing-
ing the closing songs of the
Shabbat service. Kitah Bet
and Gimel (4th and 5th
grades) will present songs
from the Musaf service. Torah
reading and the leading of
t'fillot will be presented by
students in Kitah Bet
through confirmation.
Following the service, a lun-
cheon hosted by the school's
PTO will be served in the
social hall. For luncheon
reservations, call the
synagogue, 851-6880. There is
a charge for the luncheon.

B'Shevat Seder
In Livonia

The Livonia Jewish Con-
gregation will host a Tu
B'Shevat evening 7 p.m. Feb.
1 at the synagogue.
Prior to regular Shabbat
services, a Tu B'Shevat seder
will take place. The seder is
similar in structure to a
Passover seder. There is a
prescribed order of worship
and the sampling of fruits
and nuts as well as commen-
tary and discussion.

Tu B'Shevat
At Beth Achim

Congregation Beth Achim
will host a Tu B'Shevat seder
6:30 p.m. Jan. 29. The
students of the Beth Achim
branch of the United Hebrew
Schools will present a pro-
gram of Tu B'Shevat songs.
The program will also include
a chicken dinner. The Hebrew
School has offered to sponsor
any student who is accom-
panied by a parent. For infor-
mation, call the synagogue of-
fice, 352-8670.

term values - if all homes in
given neighborhood are in the
same price range. Professional
real estate appraisers have this
theory on the neighborhood's
influence on home prices: A
home will tend to go up in value
if other homes around it are
more expensive. It will tend to
go down in market value if other
homes in the area are in lower
price range. I should also note
that this is a good selling point if
your home is for sale and is pric-
ed below the average for your
neighborhood.
