ty where she wouldn't be late
. . . So what better than one
for herself as 150 of Carole's
closest friends recently
celebrated number 50 at the
home of Mort Brody.
Was a black-tie affair by her
three children, Neil, Mitchell
and Susan, who roasted Mom
. . . "We'd like to tell you what
it's like to be brought up by a
typical suburban mother, but
we'd rather talk about our
mother."
TONIGHT IS the last
night of Morels hosting
celebrity bartenders 5-8:30
p.m. in the combat against
multiple sclerosis . . . Chari-
ty events are nothing new to

beneficiary during the grand
opening of Morels in
September on Telegraph bet-
ween 12 and 13 Mile to name
just one of his fund-raising ef-
forts . . . Celebrity benefit is
in the restaurant's bar area.
THERE WAS a heavy air
around the shop morning of
Jan. 7 . . . The usually
talkative crew of over 30
tailors quietly moved about
with somber faces . . . It had
been a year that day since
Harry Kosins passed away .. .
and head tailor at Kosins cen-
tral tailor shop, Bill Weiss,
called them together for a
one-minute moment of silence
in his memory . . . Bill said
the Kaddish; Italian Catho-
lics, the Rosary, and Greeks,
Chaldeans, Iraqis and Polish
all prayed in their own ways
. . . It was a very moving mo-
ment . . . They all adored
Harry.
"GOURMET FOODS of
the Future," whatever those
are, will be the dinner fare at
10th annual Brookside
Kaleidescope Gala and Auc-

and it is hoped that they
know what this means as
Kaleidescope looks to the

be at the Brookside School on
Cranbrook Road in Bloom-
field Hills . . . For more info,
