The Jewish Feminist Group
will show To Be a Woman
Soldier, a film about Israeli
women who serve two years
in the Israeli army 7:30 p.m.
Jan. 28. Hagit Levi will
discuss the film and answer
questions about her own ex-
perience in the Israeli
Defense Forces.
The Great Writers Series
will present Peter Mat-
thiessen at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 29
in Rackham Auditorium.
Peter Matthiessen is one of
the outstanding naturalists of
his generation and a noted
author of fiction. He has also
been an advocate on behalf of
Native American civil liber-

The Union of Students for
Israel will sponsor a talk by
Avi Hadari, chair of the
Social and Educational
Theatre Division of the Tel
Aviv University Theatre

"Israel's Culture and Politics
as Reflected in Its Popular
Music." He will use audio and
video tapes to discuss Israeli
pop music and the current
reality of life in Israel.

Hillel Coffeehouse at the
Caffe Fino 7:30-9:30 p.m. Jan.
