A workshop entitled, "Mak-
ing Intercultural Marriage
Work," will take place 9
a.m.-3 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Bir-
mingham Temple. The
workshop is open to couples,
individuals and their parents
and other family members.
Sherwin Wine, rabbi of the
Birmingham Temple, will
provide the introduction. The
workshops will be facilitated
by Judith Schneider; Miriam
Jerris, Jewish Humanist
Leader; and Suzanne Paul,
Humanist Leader and
minister of the Universalist
Unitarian Church of
Farmington.
This workshop aims to help
both partners and their
families deal with the issues
that are unique to their situa-
tion. Issues of personal iden-
tity, family, and dealing with
the community will be dis-
cussed. Opportunities for
celebrating two cultures and
developing a shared philos-
ophy of life will be discussed.
