29 years. Cantor Katzew serv-
ed as the first cantor in the
history of Temple Israel in
Columbus, Ohio. She later led
congregations in Abington,
Pa., and Syosset, N.Y., before
moving to Jerusalem in 1989
where she is on the faculty of
the Hebrew Union College.
Rabbi Katzew served as a
rabbi and educator in Port
Washington, N.Y., for six
years, before being selected as
Jerusalem fellow.
