OBITUARIES

DR. DAVID JACKNOW

The Officers and Board of Directors of the Detroit Chapter of the
American Society for Technion mourn with deep sorrow the pass-
ing of Dr. David Jacknow of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He was a
dedicated friend and Builder of the Society, member of the National
Board of Directors, the international Board of Governors and the
Detroit Board of Directors. He believed firmly in the values of educa-
tion at the Technion. Through his very generous support he estab-
lished the Muriel and David Jacknow Fund for Post Doctorates and
contributed to other important projects including applied research
and student housing. We extend our sincerest heartfelt condolences
to his wife Muriel and the members of his entire family.

Postal Supervisor

Marvin Zickerman, 66, of
Mt. Clemens, died Jan. 20.
Mr. Zickerman was a super-
visor with the United States
Postal Service. He was a
member of the Jewish War
Veterans, American Legion,
Michigan Ski Council and
choir member of Temple
Emanu-El.
He leaves his sisters, Julia
Harwith of Swarthmore, Pa.,
Margaret Veaten of Venice,
Fla., Betty Zickerman of San
Francisco.
