and discussion with Arnold
Weiner, senior executive
director of Michigan BBYO
and several young people who
attended "the March of the
Living" 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at
Kendallwood Apartment
Clubhouse.
The March, held from April
18 to May 4, 1990, in Poland,
was attended by 3500 Jewish
youth from 35 countries to
honor the memories of vic-
tims of the Holocaust. It
started in Auschwitz and end-
ed in Birkenau with a cere-
mony that was telecast back
to the US and to Israel.
Refreshments will be serv-
ed and a five dollar ($5) dona-

Shabbat Program
At Adat Shalom

Adat Shalom Synagogue
will hold a Shabbat luncheon
and program for synagogue
women who have become bat
mitzvah and for current
members of its adult bat
mitzvah class Jan. 19, fol-
lowing Shabbat services.
The luncheon will feature a
presentation by Renee Wohl
on "Uriel D'Acosta: The Case
of a Misguided 17th Century
Marrano," one of history's
significant Jewish trials.
Renee Wohl is director of
the Resources Center of the
Agency for Jewish Education.
She is a graduate of Brandeis
University and holds a
Master's Degree in Judaic
Studies.
