A $25,000 gift to Operation Exodus is presented by Abe Weberman
and Simon Schwarzberg of the Shaarit Haplaytah Organization of
Michigan to Allan Gelfond, director of the Allied Jewish Campaign.
The contribution was made in memory of Eric Rosenow, a founder
member, known for helping fellow Holocaust survivors in the Detroit
area with money earned by his orchestra.

Adat Shalom Youth
To Hear About Poland

Two Adat Shalom United
Synagogue Youth teen
leaders will present a pro-
gram for the Synagogue
Bar/Bat Mitzvah Family
Club, Jan. 27.
Alaine Waldshan and
Karen Zalenko will discuss
"From Holocaust to Rebirth:
A Journey from Poland to
Israel." They will also show
slides of their memorable
USY trip last summer.
A Shacharit service at 10
a.m. and brunch will precede
the program.
The event is one of a year-
long series of programs for
bar/bat mitzvah candidates,
those who have recently
become bar/bat mitzvah, and

their families. The programs
are co-sponsored by the
synagogue, the Adat Shalom
Branch of United Hebrew
Schools, and Jewish Ex-
perience For Families.

A TV performing class for

Jewish Community Center.
