Camp Kennedy, located in
the Upper Peninsula in
Shingleton, offers advanced
wilderness activities for co-
eds entering grades 10 and
11. Two four-week sessions
are available, and some of the
activities include sailing and
water skiing, along with over-
night hiking and canoeing
trips. Campers make their
own challah for Shabbat, cook
their own meals and reside in
a quaint country lodge.
Tuition is $1390 for each
four-week session.

Camp Maas, which is
located in Ortonville, offers
two four-week sessions for co-
eds and entering grades 6-10,
and one 12-day mini-session
for 6th graders. Waterfront
sports, horseback riding,
ropes course, drama, pioneer-
ing skills and canoeing, are
some of the recreational ac-
tivities offered. Each grade
has a Jewish theme and it's
incorporated into many of the
weekday and Shabbat ac-
tivities. The camp is ac-
credited by the American
Camping Association.
The kitchen is kosher, and
tuition is $765 for 12 days and
$1550 for 26-day session.
Scholarships are available.
Camp Tamarack, which is
located on a 200-acre camp-
site in Brighton, offers one
10-day mini-session and two
19-day sessions for children
entering grades 2-5. Camp
goals are to foster Jewish
identity and create lasting
friendships and mutual car-
ing for others. Swimming,
sailing, soccer, nature ac-
tivities and learning how to
build a campfire and special
Shabbat dinners singing
Shabbat songs are all a part
of the program.
The meals are kosher and
campers live in cabins or dor-
mitories. The camp is ac-
credited by the American
Camping Association.
Basic tuition is $605 for the
10-day session, and $1058 for
the 19-day session, and
scholarships are available.

Charles N. Agree Out-
post Camp, is located in
WaWa, Ontario, approximate-
ly 150 mile above Soo Sault
Marie, and campers are
predominantly from the
metropolitan Detroit area
and other Michigan com-
munities. Two 28-day Cana-
dian wilderness trips are of-
fered to co-eds entering
grades 9 and 10. Within the
28 days, campers will canoe,
hike, rock climb and
windsurf.
