Movin' Theatre, Wayne
State University's traveling
dance toupe, will take to the
road in January. Bookings
are now available for the
group's new show, Broadway
Rhythms, and for related
workshops and movement.
Broadway Rhythms is a
narrated program, performed
by eight actor-dancers, trac-
ing the history of dance in
Broadway musicals from the
1920s to the present.
The Movin' Theatre was
founded in 1977.
Also available for booking
is the brand new show,
Ragtime Remembrances. The
history of ragtime dance and
turn-of-the century America
is told through one of our
country's greatest dance
teams, Vernon and Irene Cas-
tle. Bill Wilson and Nira
Pullin portray the two
dancers in a narrated pro-
gram of ragtime dances.
For information or to book
performances and/or
workshops offered by the
Movin' Theatre, call Bill
Wilson, 577-3010.
