everything? Tired of cars with
more semiconductors than
pistons? Tired of even hearing
the phrase "high-tech"? Well,
you'll still like the old faithful
Firebird. It has had a nose job
for '91, but other than that,
it's nearly the same V-8, rear-
drive cruiser it has always
been.
The "Formula" means you
can order customizing
packages guaranteed to make
you among the speediest
things on the road on a
budget that will still let you
afford a nice pair of racing
gloves.
CHRYSLER MINIVANS
This very successful line is
one of the things that have
been keeping Chrysler going
for the past few years.
Chrysler's market share in
that segment is still almost
exactly twice that of their
nearest competitor, and that's
the way they'd like to keep it.
But that leaves them with
a dilemma: Do they keep up
with the Joneses by changing
what has up until now been
America's most popular
minivan, or let it ride, even
though the styling is becom-
ing dated?
A little of both, a little of
neither. Chrysler decided to
pay attention to the people
who'd been driving the cars
and change only the things
that had been drawing com-
plaints. So aside from a little
rounding of the corners and a
new tailgate, the exteriors are
quite recognizable.
But the suspensions and in-
teriors have gotten a real go-
ing over. You'll notice a
steadier ride, new seats, a
completely new dash layout
with different- storage,
shoulder belts in the second-
row seats and some other
customer-driven enhance-
ments that should be
well-received.

French Origin
The word limousine, referr-
ing to a chauffeur-driven car,
comes from the old French
province of Limousin, were
natives wore hooded cloaks.
Somehow the garment lent
its name to a closed motorcar,
originally with the driver's
seat outside, open but roofed.
