Congregation Shaarey Zedek,
Jewish Community Center
and Jewish Community
Council. She was a member of
Sinai Hospital Guild,
Founders Society Detroit In-
stitute of Arts, Brandeis
University Women's Commit-
tee, National Retired
Teachers Association and
Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
She leaves her son and
daughter-in-law, Edward and
Muriel of West Bloomfield;
daughter and son-in-law, Il-
ene and Stanley Schwartz of
Bloomfield Hills; six grand-
children; two great-grand-
children.

Gerald M. Kutzen

Gerald M. Kutzen, 68, of
Farmington Hills, died Dec.
13.
Mr. Kutzen was a real
estate analyst. He was a
member of the Detroit Board
of Realtors. He was elected to
the Detroit Board of Realtors'
Hall of Fame in 1987. He was
a director of the Michigan
Association of Realtors in
1986.
He is survived by his wife,
Freda.

Harry Weiss

Harry Weiss, 82, formerly of
Detroit, died Dec. 26 in
Miami Beach Fla.
Mr. Weiss founded the Es-
quire Deli on Dexter Avenue,
which was later moved to
Lahser Avenue. It flourished
until his retirement in 1983.
Mr. Weiss and his wife moved
to Beachwood, Ohio, in 1989.
He is survived by his wife,
Jean; sons, Morry and Erwin
of Cleveland; brothers, Teddy
of Detroit, Eugene of Detroit,
Fred of Chicago, Leo and Emil
of Detroit; sister, Rose of
Detroit; five grandchildren.

Celia Jeremias, 89, of Oak
Park, died Dec. 25.
She was a member of

Israelis Divided
On Palestinians

Tel Aviv (JTA) — Two out
of every three Israeli Jews
want to bar West Bank and
Gaza Strip Arabs from work-
ing in Israel, according to a
public opinion poll published
in the current issue of the
new English-language week-
ly Jerusalem Report.
However, 25 percent of the
population is ready to accept
the establishment of a Pales-
tinian entity, pollster
Hanoch Smith found, while
another 20 percent would
have Israel withdraw volun-
tarily from the Gaza Strip.
Nine percent were
satisfied with the status quo,
but only 6 percent favored
annexation of all or part of
the West Bank.
