ANNA MICKEL was one of the three recipients of the Geri Award, a recognition award to honor the outstan- ding contributions of in- dividuals who have dedicated themselves to work on behalf of the area's senior citizens. Ms. Mickel earned her award for her contributions as a volunteer at the Jewish Homes for the Aged and ser- ving as chairperson of the Oakland County Senior Power Day Committee, and chairperson of the Area Agen- cy on Aging 1-B Advisory Council. She is also an ap- pointed member of the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging Advisory Council and Michigan Senior Power Day Steering Committee. JUDITH DUBIN, librarian media specialist at the Schulze Elementary School in Detroit, received the Ruby Brown Award for Individual Achievement at the 17th an- nual conference of Michigan Association for Media in Education. JEFFREY FORMAN has been named medical director of the Providence Hospital Cancer Center at Providence Hospital, Southfield. Dr. For- man will serve as a liaison between the Cancer Center's medical staff and administra- tion and coordinate the medical staff in tumor registry, medical oncology and radiation oncology. He is also responsible for the development of research and educational programs in on- cology and oversees the Center's clinical functions.
