celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary by renewing
their wedding vows at Temple
Israel. The wedding party
consisted of their children,
Sheryl Silver, Johanna and
Lou Gordon, Dr. Daniel and
Lynnette Silver, and four
grandchildren.
Mrs. Silver, an attorney, has
been honored many times for
her involvement in the com-
munity. She has served for
several years as Balfour
Celebration Concert chair-
person.
Her community affiliations
include Temple Israel
Sisterhood, Southfield Bar
Association, B'nai B'rith Bar-
risters, State Bar of
Michigan, Women of Jewish
National Fund, Hadassah,
Women's American ORT, Na-

tional Council of Jewish
Women, Bar-Ilan University
Women, Women of Shaare
Zedek Hospital, Wayne Coun-
ty Medical Society Auxiliary
and Zionist Organization of
America.
Dr. Silver was recently
honored by the American and
Michigan Academy of Family
Practice for 50 years of
outstanding contributions.
He will be honored by the
Wayne University Medical
School Alumni as a 50 year
physician. Dr. Silver also has
been honored by the Detroit
Medical Society for his con-
tributions to the medical pro-
fession and his community
involvement.
He serves on the board of
the Zionist Organization of
America, Metro Detroit
District and is a member of
Temple Israel Brotherhood.
