FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 1990

Y

Former Detroiter Don Jacot
will be at the opening of an
exhibit of his most recent
work from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Dec. 1 at Xochipilli Gallery.
This reception will mark Mr.
Jacot's third show of photo-
realistic gouache and oil
paintings.
The theme of the recent
work is elevated trains,
although this exhibit will
have small paintings of well-
known Detroit sites including
Detroit's People Mover. Mr.

Jacot painted the elevated
trains and their tracks after
studying Frank Kline's
abstract buildings and urban
landscapes.
Mr. Jacot, trained as a
physician's assistant, left his
medical career and Detroit to
paint full time in San
Francisco.
Xochipilli Gallery is located
at 568 N. Woodward Ave., Bir-
mingham. Gallery hours are
Tuesday through Saturday 11
a.m. to 5 p.m.
