Hebrew Day School
Raises Funds

An evening on behalf of
Hebrew Day School of Ann
Arbor will be held 8 p.m. Dec.
8 at the Jewish Community
Center in Ann Arbor.
To raise funds to support
Hebrew Day School, the
Parents' Organization will
host an art auction conducted
by Genesis Galleries. Works
of art will include
lithographs, original oils,
watercolors, engravings and
much more.
Refreshments will be serv-
ed and door prizes will be
awarded during the auction.
A $5 donation is requested,
and tickets can be purchased
in advance of the event.

A Soviet Jewish family who
recently arrived in Israel is
seeking a brother who came
to Detroit in 1940-41. His
name is Meir Izkovitz
Aindenbaum. His mother was
Feiga Palavna, and father
Isaac Perkovitz. The son is
Meirovitz Aidenbaum (born
in 1928) and daughter Ita
Meirovna (born in 1924).
They lived on Benton Street
in 1940.
Anyone with information
can write the Aidenbaum
family, Shimkin Street 3, c/o
Dreifuss family, Haifa, Israel.

In 1907 two-thirds of
Jerusalem's population of
60,000 were Jews.
