Southfield's Concerts In
The Garden series will
feature "The Divine Ms. N,"
Sheri Nichols with Richard
Berent in "The Best of Broad-
way" 10:30 a.m. Dec. 2, at the
Prudential Town Center
Atrium.
Sheri Nichols was named
one of ten Michiganians of
the Year in 1987 by the
Detroit News and appeared on
the cover of the January 1988
issue of Monthly Detroit.
Mr. Berent has been prais-
ed for original scores, in-
cluding Wayne State Univer-
sity's A Christmas Carol and
the Attic Theatre production
of Holiday Cabaret.
There is a charge. For infor-
mation, call Marlowe
Belanger, 354-4717.
'Wonderland'
At Bonstelle
The Victorian fantasy Alice
in Wonderland with the
favorite childhood characters
of the ever-tardy White Rab-
bit, the Mad Hatter and the
curious Alice will be
presented at the Bonstelle
Theatre at 8 p.m. Dec. 7, 8, 14
and 15, with matinees at 2
p.m. Dec. 9, 15 and 16.
The adaptation includes on-
ly Carroll's dialogue, and the
scenery and costumes are in-
fluenced by the original il-
lustrations by artist John
Tenniel. Although the
dialogue and imagery remain
loyal to the classic, the
Bonstelle production adds an
up-to-date flair through the
use of music and dance.
For ticket information, call
WSU Box office, 577-2960.
