Dance Collective
Sets Concerts

Detroit Dance Collective
will begin its 11th year with
concerts 8 p.m. Dec. 1 and 3
p.m. Dec. 2 at the Royal Oak
Campus of Oakland Com-
munity College.
Artistic directors Paula
Kramer and Barbara Sel-
inger and guest choreog-
rapher Linda Smith will pre-
sent modern dance works
that feature Ms. Selinger's
premiere of "Zydeco Songs,"
set to Cajun music, Ms.
Smith's "Epitaphs In Six
Movements" danced to
"Tangerine Dream," and Ms.
Kramer's "Ma Suite
Magritte" accompanied by
David Strickland on piano
and synthesizer.
Also included are Ms. Sel-
inger's humorous solo,
"Stress Dress," danced to
music by Roy Brooks and
"Journey's End," a dramatic
work that features music by
the Beatles.
