Free Tickets
For anyone whose name is
Rosen — or something like it
— a free ticket is offered to A
Rosen By Any Other Name, a
family comedy by Israel
Horovitz at the Jewish
Ensemble Theatre. It opens
Dec. 12 at the Maple-Drake
Jewish Community Center.
Area families named Rosen,
Rose, Rosenbaum, Rosenberg,
Rosenblatt or something
similar are eligible for one
free ticket to the play.
The play's hero is Stanley
Rosen, who is preparing for
his bar mitzvah in Sault St.
Marie, Ontario, in 1943. His
mother is planning a bar
mitzvah party, the likes of
which their little town has
never seen. His father, con-
vinced the Nazis are about to
invade Canada, wants to
change the family name so no
one will know they're Jewish.
Stanley can't imagine being
bar mitzvah as anything but
a Rosen.
Preview performances be-
gin Dec. 12, and the show con,
tinues through Jan. 6.
If you're a Rosen, or a Rosen
by a similar name, call the
JET office, 788-2900, and re-
quest a coupon good for one
free ticket.
