Mr. Alan's 17th Anniversary Shoe Sale Fishman, Kales Lead Advancers Barry Fishman and Aaron Kales of Pisgah Lodge were the leaders as 121 Metro Detroit B'nai B'rith Bowling Association keglers advanced to the second round of the fall eliminator tournament. Fishman went 140 pins over his average, Kales 138, to lead the starting field of 242 bowlers — the largest field of the three semi-annual eliminators held thus far, ac- cording to Sy Zate, tourney director. The tourney, which evens competition between low- and high-average bowlers by vir- tue of its being pins-over- average, runs concurrently with regular league bowling. The second round will be com- pleted this weekend, reducing the field to the final round of 30 bowlers. With the tourney's growth, the top prize has grown from $190 to $300, said Zate. Fif- teen bowlers will cash after the final round, compared to 10 previously, he added.
