The conference is an
alliance of professional and
non-professional leaders who
are committed to the develop-
ment of a well-trained corps of
counselors, educators and
ceremonialists to serve the
needs of Secular Humanistic
Jewish communities in all
countries.

Nancy Gurwin will present
"Broadway Lullaby," an
original musical revue. Ms.
Gurwin is owner-producer of
Nancy Gurwin Productions
and has performed with the
Detroit Repertory Theatre as
well as producing her own
one-woman shows.

ticiate in a family retreat
Nov. 23-25 at the Butzel Con-
ference Center in Ortonville.
The families will combine a
traditional Shabbat with out-
door camping activities.
Rabbi Elliot Pachter has
helped to plan the retreat
events and will accompany
the group. Retreat co-
chairmen are Janice and
Donald Scharg.

At Synagogue

The Livonia Jewish Con-
gregation will host an open
house 2-4 p.m. Nov. 25 at the
synagogue.
The new rabbi, Craig Allen,
will be honored. A dessert
buffet will be served. There is
no charge.
