Names Director
Carol Kaczander has been
appointed to fill a vacancy as
director of the Jewish Infor-
mation Service of the Jewish
Welfare Federation.
Ms. Kaczander, prior to her
appointment, was an
outreach worker with the
B'nai B'rith Hillel Founda-
tions of Metropolitan Detroit.
She was responsible for stu-
dent recruitment and star-
ting new groups on local col-
lege campuses. She also was
the adviser to the student
Allied Jewish Campaign at
Oakland and Wayne State
universities.
Ms. Kaczander coordinated
a peer-assistant program for
students with severe and
multiple disabilities for the
Oak Park School District.
JIS provides information
and referrals for callers with
any type of question.

director of Machon L'Torah,
the Jewish Learning Network
of Michigan, will hold a
discussion at 6 p.m. Nov. 28 at
Lee's Honor College on the
Western Michigan University
campus.

deli dinner followed by a
discussion on "Can Judaism
Survive in an Israel-less
