Seeks Volunteers
Volunteers are still being
recruited to participate in the
Allied Jewish Campaign's an-
nual telephone appeal, Super
Sunday Dec. 2.
Hundreds of volunteers —
teens through adults — are
needed to call their fellow
Detroiters, asking for pledges
to the annual Campaign
which benefits tens of
thousands of Jews here and
abroad through more than 60
beneficiary agencies.
Three phone shifts are
available: 9:30 a.m.-12:15
p.m., 11:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and
7-9 p.m. Board members of
the Federation, its agencies
and planning divisions will
have their own shift from 2 to
4:45 p.m. Calls are made from
the United Hebrew Schools
building in Southfield.
Among the community
groups who will participate in
the phonathon are new
Americans, teens who par-
ticipated in Project Discovery,
Neighborhood Project
families and synagogue
members.
Contributors will be asked
to increase their gifts to en-
sure the continuation and
enhancement of local
services.
