The Clinical Neuroscience
Program at Sinai Hospital in
Detroit will be among 14
medical centers throughout
the United States begin-
ning an out-patient trial
evaluating a new Parkinson's
disease medication.
The new drug will be tested
for its potential value in
several applications, in-
cluding slowing the progres-
sion of Parkinson's disease
and enhancing the therapeu-
tic value of several available
medications. This drug, cur-
rently termed Ro 19-6327, is
under development by Hoff-
man-LaRoche of Nutley, N.J.
The multi-center study will
evaluate its safety, tolerabili-
ty, and effect on clinical symp-
toms of Parkinson's disease.
