systems, but all are excited by
the computer's power for
creating color, form and tex-

concert of the season, "The
Best of Jazz" 8 p.m. Nov. 16
at the Smith Theatre on the
Orchard Ridge Campus of
Oakland Community College.
Musica Viva! will present the
theme of jazz featuring Keiko
and Friends with guest artist,
Detroit's Marcus Belgrave,
trumpet.
Keiko and Friends consists
of Japanese born Keiko
McNamara, pianist, and
Detroiter Harvey Thompson,
vocalist; Greg Cooke, bass;
and Lawrence Williams,
drums. The program includes
works by Duke Ellington,
Thelonius Monk, Ira Ger-
shwin and original composi-
tions by McNamara and
Belgrave.
