Chamber Ensemble
Hosts Thibute

The Lyric Chamber Ensem-
ble will present a Tribute to
Leonard Bernstein 3:30 p.m.
Nov. 11 at the Ballroom of the
Grosse Pointe War Memorial.
This concert of romantic
vocal quartets and music for
piano/4 hands will include
Liebeslieder Waltzes, Op. 65
by Brahms, Spanisches
Liederspiel, Op. 74 by
Schumann, Bizet's L'Arles-
sienne Suite and Chabrier's
Souvenir de Munich, based on
themes from Wagner's
Tristan and Isolde.
Featured performers will in-
clude former Metropolitan
Opera star George Shirley
(tenor), and Michigan artists
Earnestine Nimmons
(soprano), Kathleen Segar
(mezzo-soprano) and John
Paul White (bass), joined by
pianists Fedora Horowitz and
Louis Nagel.

Players Set
'Broadway Bound'

Ridgedale Players will open
its 59th season with Neil
Simon's comedy/drama,
Broadway Bound. The third
installment of Simon's auto-
biographical trilogy, Broad-
way Bound tells the story of
Eugene and Stanley Jerome
as they reach the brink of
stardom, just as their fmaily
is breaking up.
Show dates will be Nov. 2-4;
9-11; 16-18. Curtain is 8 p.m.;
on Sundays at 7 p.m.
