Laker Concert
Hosts Teen Choir

The Laker Concert will pre-
sent the Kinor Choir of Riga,
Latvia — a choir of twenty-
five Russian Jewish teen-
agers 7:30 p rn. Nov. 14 at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
The young people of Kinor
sing Hebrew and Yiddish
songs. The boys and girls of
Kinor convey a spirit of hope
and courage of Russian Jews.
Recently, Kinor completed a
tour throughout Europe and
Israel.
The concert is open to the
community, free of charge.
The Laker Concert is a
musical event which takes
place at Shaarey Zedek
around the Chanukah season.

as youth director. She is a cer-
tified teacher with experience
in several Sunday schools in
the Detroit area. She teaches
at Hillel Day School.
Ms. Kovsky will be respon-
sible for all programming for
youth aged 6-18. This in-
