Plans Events

The Adat Shalom Men's
Club will hold its annual
Feather Party 7:30 p.m. Nov.
8 at the synagogue.
The event will include
games, prizes and refresh-
ments. There is no charge for
Men's Club members and
their families and for 1989-90
new synagogue members.
The Men's Club also will
hold the first of a two part
program designed for "the
sandwich generation" 6:15
p.m. Nov. 14.
Following dinner, a panel
will discuss issues pertinent
to those caught between their
youngsters and their aging
parents. The panel will offer
suggestions on parenting, as
well as ideas for assisting
one's aging parents. Topics
will include: pharmaceutical
information, nursing home
care, and the emotional con-
cerns of the multi-
generational situation.
Panelists will be Jeffrey
Dunn, nursing home ad-
ministrator; Lauren Tackel,
director of consulting ser-
vices, Specialized Pharmacy
Services, Inc.; and Lisa Can-
tor, geriatric social worker.
There is a dinner charge for
non-members. For reserva-
tions by Nov. 9, call the
synagogue, 851-5100.
