Justice Or Bias?
I am writing to take issue
with Melanie Bloom in her
struggle to spare her son from
death in California's gas
chamber (Sept. 21).
It is understandable for a
mother to want to save her
son. But to compare the
rightful execution of a vicious
murderer with Nazi genocide
by holding up a sign saying,
"No Gas Chamber for Jews"
is disgusting.
Robert Maurice Bloom was
not sentenced to die because
he is Jewish, but because he
murdered his father, step-
mother and stepsister. I
believe the survivors of those
he murdered deserve the

congratulated on the publica-
tion of the article which ap-
peared in your newspaper on
Oct. 19, authored by Berl
Falbaum and entitled "Battl-
ing Anti-Semitism."
It has always been my feel-
ing that any anti-religious ap-
proach or endeavor should be
battled. It is high time that
more direct opposition should
be taken in all forms of
