cased in an acrylic box frame is a
black silk coat on which a larger than
life portrait of Clark Gable (as Rhett
butler) is painted, from his black top
hat and rhinestone studded eyes

fabric with a paterned tone-on-tone
motif and post-modern black lac-

Jessica Ramsey-Weiss of Birmingham.
Behind the sofa a doorwall is
screened by gray and silver string ver-
ticals graced by a metallic fabric
cornice.
Next to the plush sofa sit a pair of
embossed black ultra suede chairs
with an element of sparkle from silver
discs embossed into the fabric.
A glass table on a black sculptural
base sits in front of the sofa and
chairs. The table showcases a blend
of objects d'art, adding a decorative
accent.
Over the black granite fireplace
hangs a five-foot long open weaving
that combines the textures of wool,
suede, leather with silver Lurex
threads. The weaving, by Detroit ar-
tist Urban Jupena, intertwines vertical
black lines with diagonal threads of
fuchsia, black and Lurex.
Illuminating the weaving is a vertical
black floor lamp energized with a
fuchsia neon lightning bolt. Placed on
